Easing traffic congestion in Stanford University..

Matt Kahn’s super blog points to this nice story on traffic congestion in Stanford.

Balaji Prabhakar, a Stanford Comp Sci Professor is looking at solutions  to ease traffic congestion in the Ivy league campus. This project is called Congestion and Parking Relief Incentives. He has even looked at easing congestion in Infosys campus in Bangalore!

Do middle classes bring institutional reforms?

Indian public should take a lot of hope from this study. Given how quickly Indian economy has fallen off the cliff in terms of expectations, is amazing.

However, if this paper is to be believed our rising middle class can help. It says rise in middle class leads governments to bring institutional reforms:
