Importance of Credit/Debt Counselling Centres

RBI has released a concept paper on the rationale for setting up credit/debt counselling centres across India.

These centres will advice the rural and urban persons before they take a loan and act as an intermediary between the bank and the client in case the latter defaults. These centres will help RBI spread financial literacy and enhance financial inclusion.
