Riksbank on Youtube now!

Sweden’s central bank always has some surprises lined up for you.

Now it has gone one  step further. It now has is own channel on Youtube

Broadcasts from our press conferences and analysts’ meetings, together with other films on the bank’s operations, are now available for viewing on the Riksbank’s YouTube channel.

Alan Greenspan retired from Fed on 31 Jan 2006. It is just 4 years but recent developments in economics and central bank communication must be looking as if he has woken up in a new era.

First his belief in markets has been shattered and now all this transparency in central bank communications must be sounding Greek to him. He famously said:

I guess I should warn you, if I turn out to be particularly clear, you’ve probably misunderstood what I’ve said.

Central Bankers are trying to be as clear as possible these days.
