After the crisis – new thoughts on monetary policy

There are two similar kind of speeches on this topic. First is this speech by Lars Nyberg of Riksbank and second is by Subir Gokarn of RBI.

Nyberg looks at many more issues and is on the technical side. Gokarn’s is an easier read and is like a primer on the several issues and has an emerging markets perspective.

Indian FM says inflation in control but inflation expectations have a different tale to say

RBI released its latest inflationary expectations survey of Households conducted on Sep-10.

Once again the expectations are up (up and away).
