Export credit refinance did rise..

Just a followup to the previous post.

I had mentioned that RBI had allowed banks to take export credit refinance upto 50% of their export credit. This limit was to apply post 30 Jun 2012.

The recent data tells you that ECR has indeed risen. Check RBI’s Money Market Operations of Jun30, Jul 2, Jul 3 and Jul 4.

Emergence of market institutions: market for fish and other commodities

I came across this amazing paper by Alan Kirman et al. I got some ideas on Kirman’s work  from this article on state of economics. It is sad that in these times we are not really reading and figuring such papers. The focus remains on crisis which shows no signs of crisis.

As one cannot extract text from the pdf, I will be brief. The paper tells you about different fish markets in the world and how they have evolved over the years. Apart from markets there is also discussion on how instis also changed/formed to make these markets functional.
