Wishing all the viewers a very happy new year. Hope 2014 is a great year for all of you.
Here is ME’s 2013 Annual Report (courtesy wordpress.com):
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 240,000 times in 2013. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 10 days for that many people to see it.
In 2013, there were 603 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 4,760 posts. There were 4pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 1 MB.
The busiest day of the year was January 31st with1,164 views. The most popular post that day wasProf. Avinash Dixit’s suggestion to curb corruption (based on Lin Ostrom’s insights).
Though, not too happy seeing the results compared to 2012. Number of posts was around 700+ and so was number of vistis to the blog:
About 55,000 tourists visit Liechtenstein every year. This blog was viewed about 350,000 times in 2012. If it were Liechtenstein, it would take about 6 years for that many people to see it. Your blog had more visits than a small country in Europe!
In 2012, there were 721 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 4,157 posts.
A steep decline in viewership! Despite best efforts, it seems to be dipping each year. One reason for decline is lesser number of posts as have been really busy this year. Then number of subscribvers has increased as well. So posts go directly to people and they need not visit the blog. Not sure what the other reasons are.
Any suggestions from people how to improve things would be highly welcome and appreciated..
Anyways, enjoy tonight and look to see you all tomorrow..
