Social Life of a Bus

I attended this interesting documentary yesterday – Social Life of a Bus. It is prepared by Prof Gopakumar of Concordia University on the travails of Bangalore bus commuters. Tells you much more about bus commuting issues than several papers put together.

It discusses how the Corporation route to Bus services has made the BMTC (Bangalore Metrro Transport Corp) look at just the bottomline at the cost of actually marginalising people from taking bus services. Running more volvos and crazy rise of prices has actually led lesser people to take on buses than seen in the past.

I guess this is how it must be in other places as well. Though, there will surely be place wise differences and nuances too.
